Astrid Weigel is a Textile designer/artist living and working in Ayrshire. Her home and studio overlook the rolling hills of the Irvine Valley which have provided inspiration for her work for the past 15 years. Using bold graphic designs and colours influenced by the ‘MidCentury’ design of the 50s, she adds a serious contemporary twist that makes her work a ‘must have’ for nature loving design enthusiasts or those that just want something different for their home. Her distinctive work allow us to look afresh at the familiar and see nature again, as if for the first time.
