‘West Kilbride Stories Part III – Growing a Community’ launches on Saturday 3rd February and runs until Saturday 2nd March.
The sequel to 2023’s ‘Roots’ this is a community exhibition exploring the concept of ‘growth’ – further developing our understanding of the world around us, celebrating nature, art and heritage within our communities.
The P5&6 pupils from West Kilbride Primary School have been exploring the insect world and a collection of fabulous hand-crafted bugs have taken up residence in the Barony Centre.
The work of renowned local painter, the late Derek McLean, provides a superb backdrop to the children’s creations, and the final part of the exhibition is the third chapter of ‘The Story of Wool’.
